NEUTER -O | sucralfate1gm+oxetacaine20mg | 200ml | ML | 185 |
Sucralfate & Oxetacaine Suspension comes with the branding “NEUTER -O” and is a medication that is used to manage peptic ulcers or gastrointestinal ulcers. It is also used in disorders such as hyperacidity, heartburn or indigestion, and gastritis which is inflammation of the stomach. The stomach is normally lined with a layer of tissue that usually reduces the chances of the organ being attacked by the acid. In some situations, this layer of mucous can be erased because of high production of the acid which results in conditions such as acidity and heartburn.
Sucralfate & Oxetacaine Suspension is a combination of two medicines: Sucralfate is an orally administered, non-antacids – substantial bands, non-acidic disclosing antiulcer agent with both sacrificial and protective properties, while Oxetacaine is a potent visceral analgesic whose hepatic extraction ratio is more than 90%, therefore, is unlikely to be metabolized to a significant extent by patients with liver disease.
Sucralfate is a gastrointestinal protectant that has the highest likelihood that it protects the ulcer by forming a coating on the ulcer so that the enzymes and acid bile salts cannot harm the lining of the stomach duodenum again. This helps protect the ulcer from the level of acid in the stomach so that the ulcer can heal. In addition, the chemical compound known as Oxetacaine is an anaesthetic active at the local level and it numbs the affected area so that it can relieve pain due to ulcers or acidic injury in the stomach.
